Frequently Asked Questions

 

How does pricing work?

In addition to the rental fee for the room, there is a food and beverage minimum for all events.  This minimum can be allocated flexibly. For instance, if you are not hosting the bar for your guests; every drink they purchase goes towards meeting the minimum.  If the minimum is not met, the difference will be added to your final bill.

 

Can you accommodate daytime work meetings?

Absolutely!  We are competitively priced for corporate retreats and offsite meetings.  We provide a projector and screen, a dedicated server, catering and a self contained room for privacy.  As we share the building with 2 other businesses, there is noise in the adjoining hallway. Wednesdays are especially loud, therefore we offer a $50 discount for Wednesday daytime events.

 

What is your reservation policy?

In order to confirm your event, we must have a valid CC on file as well as a signed copy of our contract.

 

How does payment work?

The day of your event, your CC will be run for all charges on your signed proposal.  Any beverages that have been arranged to be charged on consumption; will be charged to your card at the close of your event.  A 20% gratuity is added to all final bills.

 

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel within 14 days of your event, you will be charged for the room fee.  If you cancel within 72 hours of the event, you will be responsible for the room fee, as well as 50% of the catering costs.  This applies to inclement weather and other unexpected circumstances.

Do you offer catering?

Absolutely!  We have an incredible team of talented chefs with a seasonally rotating catering menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  In addition, we have an in house baker to satisfy your sweet tooth. We will always accommodate dietary restrictions, as well as do our best to fulfill special requests.  If you have a dish you love, but don’t see on our menu, just ask!

When do you need to know my final menu choices?

In order to serve you best, your final menu needs to be submitted 10 days before your event.  Please also let us know what time you would like your appetizers, mains and dessert served. In the case of a last minute booking, the event coordinator will work closely with you, in order to insure your satisfaction.

 

What if I want to bring in my own food?

No problem!  Some restrictions may apply.  Please communicate with the event coordinator about the details of the outside food.  In addition, please be aware that a small fee will apply in order to compensate the server attending your event.

 

What’s the story with drinks?

The Bad Habit Room has a full bar.  We have 4 rotating taps, a small selection of wine, and a fun 1920’s themed cocktail menu.  If you have special requests, the event coordinator will work with you to meet your needs.

 

What about sound?

The bad Habit Room has an Ipod connection, a receiver and speakers placed throughout the room.  Depending on the size of your party, a small band could fit as well. Due to tenants upstairs, all live music needs to be done by 10pm.
